Dear Colleague,
It is our pleasure to extend to you this Invitation for Membership in QuantumNet
Association, a public, non-profit organization, with special appeal for
persons and organizations with and interest in fostering science, education,
and their roles in society. QuantumNet is designed for "East-West"
cooperative research and teaching in quantum sciences such as physics,
chemistry, biology, and pharmacology via telecommunications facilities.
QuantumNet's goals are to:
support conferences, workshops, and advanced courses and seminars for students and post-graduates, install and support permanent telecommunications amongst partners, develop new research software and databases, work to obtain financial support for FSU professional scientists and their students; offering new research possibilities, develop legal commercial activities compatible with the professional knowledge and skill of the association members to support the merits of the association.
What does QuantumNet membership mean for you?
This invitation represents recognition of your work in, and support for, science and teaching. You will be part of a working global community of scientists and students, computer and telecommunications professionals creating new knowledge, inspiration, and good fellowship. You might choose a partner among the association members to perform cooperative research with, to visit each other and provide lectures for students and research seminars, and even personal family contacts producing a better humanitarian atmosphere. Your membership will help strengthen the association’s research and educational policy programs, bring you in touch with association colleagues in many Newly Independent States, and will help FSU scientists and students to survive under the collapse of FSU educational system.
There are no membership dues for individual membership, however you are encouraged to provide support either to the association or research partners.
Corporate members are also welcome to support the association in any possible way. The association is in particular seeking the assistance of those corporations that will make a special effort to ensure the availability of resources for planning and introducing of new research initiatives. Such support represents an act of faith in the association's plans, programs, and future. Support might include such things as research and educational literature and software, databases, partial or full financial support of collective and targeted projects including publication projects (research monographs and textbooks), used and new computing and telecommunication hardware, telecommunication costs, and collective commercial projects related to science and new technologies. Each supporting contribution is under open public control and is subject to international regulations.
The association will convey special thanks to its corporate and individual members and commends the attention of all association members to their commitment, which will benefit scientists, students, and society worldwide.
